When it was extended during the 1790s by 2nd Baronet, Sir Christopher Sykes, the skills of Joseph Rose, the most famous plasterer of his day, and Capability Brown, possibly England's most renowned landscape architect were employed. Their work resulted in the beauty and magnificence of both the interior of the House and the parkland still enjoyed today.
