Creative ways to preserve and display your wedding bouquet
Your wedding day is one of the most magical days of your life, so you'll no doubt want to...
Google searches for stress relief have surged to unprecedented levels over the past weeks, so it's reassuring to know that something as simple as mud might be the key to feeling a whole lot better.
Titanic Spa, the UK’s first eco-spa located in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, is proud to unveil the newly renovated mud chamber. This refurbishment marks a significant investment in the spa’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its facilities and providing an elevated experience for guests.
Originally opened in 2005, Titanic Spa has updated its popular mud chamber with cutting-edge features and a sleek, modern design. The 25-minute Private Mud Chamber experience remains a favourite among guests, accommodating individuals or groups of up to four seeking a self-guided treatment. Drawing inspiration from ancient Egyptian bathing rituals, the treatment involves applying organic mud to exfoliate, nourish, and detoxify the skin. The experience is enhanced by herbal steam that opens pores and a gentle tropical rain shower to wash away impurities.
Titanic Spa, which began life as the Edwardian textile mill Titanic Mill, shares a historical connection with the iconic RMS Titanic, both having been launched in 1911. In 2005, the mill underwent a transformative redevelopment, setting new standards in eco-friendly construction and establishing itself as Titanic Spa. This unique setting not only honours the area’s rich history but also underscores the spa’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
Located on the river, Titanic Spa benefits from its own natural water source, originally used during its days as a working mill. Sourced from 100 meters below the spa, this water now provides fresh drinking water and supplies the plunge pool, salt-regulated swimming pool, showers, and ice experience.
Warrick Burton, Managing Director of Titanic Spa said on the investment “When we first opened the spa in 2005, we ensured all the facilities were of the best ecological standard possible. As time moves on and more technical advances and innovations are created, we want to ensure we’re working with the best partners and services possible to uphold our eco mission. The renovation not only celebrates new technological advances, but means out guests get a new, fresher and improved experience”
Looking ahead, Titanic Spa is planning to refurbish its relaxation room and has exciting new developments on the horizon as it prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025. Find out more at www.titanicspa.co.uk
